History
- Prasanna Chandra Tarkaratna was an Indian philosopher and logician in the early 19th century.
- The son of a wealthy Marwari of Lucknow, Babulal Agarwal, once came to Navadwip to study under Prasanna Tarkaratna’s tole.
- Hearing about the son’s difficulties in staying at Nabadwip’s tole, Babulal spent a lot of money to build a brick-built pucca house for Prasanna Tarkaratna’s tole.
- Since then, it has been called the ‘Paka Tole’ of Nabadwip.
